The Welsh Language
Welsh is a Celtic language, closely related to Cornish and Breton. The Welsh we speak today is directly descended from the sixth century. Lyrical and poetic – find out more about the history and become absorbed by our language. The south west Wales region is where the Welsh language comes alive whether it’s at eisteddfodau or simply in the streets, attractions, performance venues and pubs.
