A WARM WELCOME AWAITS YOU AT RAMSEY HOUSE. ....at the heart of Pembrokeshire - all year round...
Ramsey House offers you the ideal combination of professional hotel management and the warmth of a family-run guest-house in both accommodation and cuisine, to the highest standards.
Owners Shaun and Suzanne Ellison look forward to welcoming you to their very special guest-house.
We have many years experience in the hospitality business and pride ourselves in combining this expertise with a warm and family ambience for your stay with us.
Ramsey House makes a marvellous centre for whatever activity or pastime you may wish to pursue - although sitting back and reading your favourite author in our peaceful lounge or on the beach is also considered an 'activity' with us!
We are just a gentle stroll away from the centre of Britain's smallest city, St David's, with its wealth of history and legend - from St Non (mother of St David), through Viking raids, to the amazing 12th century Cathedral and Bishops Palace - all awaiting your visit. Or walk the beautiful countryside that surrounds us and marvel at the abundance of flora and fauna - or join one of the several boat trips that venture out around the Pembrokeshire Islands which are host to some of the most important and exciting nature reserves in Europe. Or enjoy a round of golf at one of the many and varied courses that are in the area.
We will be delighted to advise you on the many activities available and make the necessary bookings and arrangements, should you wish.
We are here to ensure that you enjoy your stay with us to the full.
We will cater for your every wish, whether you wish to walk the nearby Coast Path with its magnificent vistas across the bay, or you just want to relax in our comfortable lounge and take tea in the garden, it's all fine with us. We would also be delighted to provide you with that extra extravagance for special occasions, just let us know in advance what you would like - champagne and lobster's good!
Our three double and three twin rooms are all you would expect from a modern, yet extremely comfortable, 4-star guest-house - and then some more! All first floor rooms have stunning views, either out to sea, across the adjacent picturesque countryside or overlooking the world famous St David's Cathedral. Our ground floor rooms have views across our well-kept and enclosed gardens and are suitable for guests who don't wish to climb stairs. A bathroom is also available if a shower is unsuitable.
Our relaxed atmosphere combined with personal service and superb cuisine is enjoyed by our many guests who come back time and again to stay with us. Why not come and try us? You won't be disappointed!
Food
Shaun is a gourmet chef with a successful career in leading hotels, enabling him to provide an excellent range of delicious cuisine. It starts with his famous 'Ramsey' Welsh breakfast that includes home-made bread, marmalade and preserves, on to a freshly prepared picnic, culminating in a sumptuous 3-course dinner in our licensed restaurant, safe in the knowledge that your comfortable bed awaits you just a few steps away! All produce used is sourced locally whenever possible - a true flavour of Wales!
