Designed by William Hope, Swansea Grand Theatre was opened in 1897 and has now become the No1 Arts and Entertainment Venue in South West Wales.The theatre is also base for the ‘Swansea Ballet Russe Company’- the only Russian classically trained Ballet Company based in the UK.The Arts Wing - a contemporary space that hosts exhibitions, conferences and smaller scale music and drama performances – enhances the experience. The Theatre's latest phased improvement has been attractively re-furbished in 1930s deco style throughout. The Arts Wing adds almost 2000 square metres of extra space to the theatre.
