Opened in 1985 the Slate Workshop is a small slate craft business specialising in high quality lettering and designs in Welsh slate, incorporating modern methods with traditional craftmanship (please note, due to health and safety regulations, no demonstrations are possible). The workshop is in a renovated corn mill on the banks of the Eastern Cleddau river. It houses both the workshop and a showroom where a large range of individually designed and hand-made items are displayed. One of the slate workers also makes beautifully tactile slate sulpture, slate benches and also bird baths. Please feel free to come and browse - we look forward to welcoming you.
